**Program and Volunteer Coordinator**

The Chilliwack and District Seniors Resources Society(CDSRS) has an exciting opening for a Program and Volunteer Coordinator. The Program and Volunteer Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director. This position if a 35 hour a week full time position (with flexibility in hours and location). CDSRS is a non-profit organization that provides programs, services and resources for older adults in the Chilliwack Community. **Primary Duties and Responsibilities**

**Programs**

Create and coordinate schedules, classes, facilitators, program instructors and guest speakers.

Lead team in daily tasks and activities for program delivery

Lead all parts of planning and organizing activities, special events and workshops.

Evaluate groups on an on-going basis

Maintain timely, accurate reports detailing participant activity and statistical information.

Manage the rental usage of our program spaces including, bookings, contracts, requirements and keeping the calendar.

Create monthly activity calendar and special event posters.

Develop, Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with members, volunteers and staff

Oversee our annual volunteer income tax program (provide support to volunteer income tax coordinator)

Recruit and Interview potential volunteers and match their talents with organizational needs.

Integration, training, and supervision of volunteers

Process, organize and maintain volunteer paperwork including criminal record checks.

Oversee a volunteer recognition event.

Work with other staff to integrate volunteers.

Maintain the volunteer and member data-base and send out member and volunteer chimp mails.

Facilitate effective communication with and between volunteers and staff.

Track all volunteer hours and create reports

Coordinate volunteer teams for office projects, program support, special events, community outreach efforts.

When in office, take a role in greeting members and visitors, providing information and support where needed

Assist with other general office duties such as answering the phone and attending to customers and provide resources and assistance as needed

**Salary**: Up to $22.50 per hour
