Maintenance Technician

**A. JOB PROFILE**

As a member of the Production Department, the Maintenance Technician is accountable and responsible for maintaining the plant’s properties and equipment and ensuring the continuous running of machinery in the plant. He/she is responsible for providing routine building and equipment maintenance in one or more fields. He/she under general supervision executes a variety of complex and routine repairs and maintenance. The Maintenance Technician ensures that the plant and its equipment perform to the required standard to achieve production, quality, delivery targets and cost efficiency.

**B. AUTHORITY**

The Maintenance Technician is responsible and accountable to the Production Supervisor from whom (s)he receives his/her authority and overall direction.

**C. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

The Maintenance Technician is accountable for performing the following core responsibilities and duties:

- Perform routine repairs and maintenance in field and plant facilities or on machines and equipment in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, mechanical, pneumatics, and electrical.
- Conduct periodic inspections per planned schedule to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities and machineries with a target of zero unplanned downtime.
- Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment.
- Design and construct special tools/equipment.
- Assist with machine and tooling improvements on processing equipment.
- Assist with mechanical and electrical improvements to the production plant.
- Work closely with the Engineering Department to increase availability and effectiveness of all machineries.
- Perform root cause analysis in support of reliability processes, collaborate with vendors, engineering, and other crafts and management to solve equipment problems and develop corrective action.
- Participate in project implementation and on process improvement teams.
- Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as required.
- Perform additional duties as required.

**D. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Certified Millwright with minimum 4 years of experience would be a bonus.
- Solid knowledge of electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and structural maintenance.
- Experience with machine assembly, machine builds, installations, mechanical, general machine shop tools, bearings, and alignment techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office software and general computer technology.
- Knowledge of CNC, Auto CAD, and any 3D visualization program.
- Broad knowledge of all aspects of residential construction and solid understanding of machine codes and blueprints.

- Welding Experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
