Directional Drilling Operator

QUANTUM UTILTIES Ltd is looking for experienced Horizontal Directional Drillers/Locators to join their growing team as they expand work within the Province of Manitoba.

**Primary Responsibilities/Duties**:

- Complete Daily Inspection of the site prior to starting work on SiteDocs
- Complete Daily Inspection of Vehicles & Equipment on SiteDocs.
- Operate Vehicles and Equipment Including but not limited to:

- Operate Vermeer S3 drills (23x30,20x22,10x15,9x13) and F5/F2 Falcon locators.
- Operate Drill Truck(Freightliner/ Kenworth reefer trucks or F600/F550) with Felling trailers manufacturer custom designed for each drill.
- Transport associated tools, materials, and/or equipment in a safe manner
- Document and submit any maintenance/repair reports of Vehicles/Equipment
- Document and submit any incident/near-miss reports
- Work collaboratively with Supervisors and other members to ensure work is done in a safe, effective and efficient manner
- Troubleshoot equipment as needed
- Ability to work outdoors conducting manual labour for extended periods of time
- Navigate around live utilities
- Load and unload directional drill equipment in a manner that is secure and damage-free
- Ability to lift 50+lbs

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $26.00-$34.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Winnipeg, MB R2R 1V6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Directional Drilling: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)
