Almadina Language Charter Academy (ALCA) strives to be Canada’s best public Charter School by providing students whose second or third language is English with the opportunities to reach their full potential. ALCA is currently seeking a **High School Guidance Counsellor** on an ongoing basis for the 2024-2025 school year.

The Opportunity

February 3rd, 2025 at Almadina High School located at the Calgary Charter Hub at 3636 Research Road NW Calgary. We currently serve students from grades 9-10, with expansion to include Grade 11 next year.

**Requirements**:

- A Masters in Counselling, School Counselling or Psychology is preferred for this position.
- Please attach your resume and cover letter.
- Copy of your Alberta Certification.
- References and field observations.

**Job Type**: Full time

Pay: Negotiable / dependant on experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree (Mandatory minimum) **Master’s Degree (preferred)**

Experience: relevant: 1 year (preferred)

**Responsibilities**
- Provide academic and emotional support to high school students, helping them navigate personal and educational challenges.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to develop tailored support plans.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
- Stay informed about college and career opportunities to guide students in their future planning.

Pay: Up to $90,803.70 per year
