As a** Full-Time Childcare Worker **at our **youth program in** **Burnaby**, **you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that provides support, care, and mentorship to at-risk youth with complex mental health and behavioural challenges. The full-time position available is:

- ** 11pm-7am Tuesday-Saturday**

**Qualifications**:

- Youth Services and/or Special Needs experience is an asset
- Experience or knowledge of trauma-informed care
- Ability to set strong boundaries and build appropriate rapport with youth
- Clear, direct, and sensitive verbal and written communication skills
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's license or its equivalent
- Experience performing outreach
- Current First Aid/CPR training
- Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) or MANDT Training
- Proof of COVID-19 double vaccination record

**A sample of what you’ll be doing**:

- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Building positive working relationships with the youth, their families, community members, and other professionals (e.g. social workers, probation officers)
- Facilitating recreational and/or educational activities
- Performing outreach as needed
- Performing household maintenance duties, preparing meals, administering medication
- Attending school meetings and case conferences when required
- Encouraging and modeling acceptable social standards and setting and maintaining appropriate limits
- Collaborating with the clinical team and providing input into assessments and youth care plans

**Salary**: $24.00-$26.00/hour plus benefits
