**Part-Time ESL/English Tutor (In-Person & Hybrid) - Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, Cambridge, or London**

**About the Role**:
This position offers **flexible scheduling**, allowing instructors to choose their classes. However, when teachers accept a class, teachers are expected to commit to a **full term**, which typically consists of **10 sessions over 10 weeks**.

**Teaching Locations**:
Lessons are held at:

- Kitchener Classroom location (Kitchener applicants are expected to commute to 50 Ottawa Street South. It is preferred that Waterloo and Cambridge applicants can commute to our Kitchener classroom but it is not required. London and Guelph applicants are expected to teach in their respective cities but not required to teach in Kitchener)
- Public libraries
- Coffee shops
- Clients’ homes

**Key Responsibilities**:
We seek responsible educators who are **punctual, reliable, and committed** to their students. Additional duties include:
✔ Designing engaging, student-centered lesson plans
✔ Encouraging active participation rather than lecturing
✔ Adapting lessons to suit different learning styles
✔ Assigning and reviewing homework after each session
✔ Providing **constructive feedback** to students and parents
✔ Writing brief **weekly progress summaries** for students
✔ Assisting students with IELTS, TEFL preparation, and other proficiency tests
✔ Supporting students with **essay writing, school assignments, and academic improvement**

**Qualifications & Requirements**:
**Fluent English speaker**
**Authorized to work in Canada**
**Current residency in Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, Cambridge, or London**
**Prior teaching or tutoring experience (preferred)**
**TESL, TESOL, or equivalent teaching certification**
