**Position Overview**:
The Events Coordinator will actively support school-wide events, fundraising events, and events sponsored by the Parent Volunteer Team (PVT). From time to time, the Events Coordinator will be required to change their regular hours of work to support events before and after school or at weekends.

Reporting to the Director of Advancement, this role will commence as soon as possible.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsibility for planning, organizing, and executing various events that reflect Southpointe’s values and engage with all key stakeholders;
- Coordinating event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, equipment rentals, and budget tracking for all school events, fundraising events and Parent Volunteer Team-sponsored events;
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution and maximize participant satisfaction.

**Essential Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in event management, or a related field;
- A genuine passion for event planning and execution demonstrated through previous experience;
- Exceptional creativity and the ability to think innovatively to develop unique and impactful events.

**Salary and Benefits**:

- As per approved salary scale $30.71 per hour;

**Work Schedule**:

- Typical days of work Monday to Friday, year round;
- Typical hours of work 8:00am - 4:00pm;
- Occasionally the hours of work may be altered to assist with event set up.
