Associate Technician

An entry level role, the Associate Technician uses basic Understanding of the field to perform job duties and works directly with more senior technicians. Work is closely observed and reviewed
- Perform standard Simulator support activities
- Perform configuration changes to Simulators and FTDs, evaluate and confirm proper post
- change operation.
- Identify, troubleshoot, repair or replace most of the Simulator and FTD electrical and sub system components and most hydraulic system components with assistance.
- Monitor Simulator(s) performance and condition to ensure compliance with governmental regulations
- Demonstrate familiarity with governing regulations for the proper operation of all FTDs, the facility, and the safe employment of personnel.
- Make recommendations concerning needed parts, acquisitions, or other material used for FTD repair and support.
- Report any safety hazards observed in work area, equipment, and/or building as per company Safety Management System (SMS) directive.
**Minimum Experience and Education**:
- 1-3 years experience, including electronics technology, avionics or related civilian/military technology
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Associates degree in electronics from college or completion of an electronics technical school preferred
- Education can be substituted by a combination of two (2) years education and experience in a related field.
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or legally able to work in Canada
Pay: $47,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Downsview, ON M3K 2A5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
**Experience**:
- Electronics Technology or Avionics: 2 years (preferred)
- reading and interpreting technical drawings: 2 years (preferred)
