We are seeking an Immigration Lawyer as part of an expansion to immigration practice to work in the office.

Responsibilities and duties:

- Ensuring the accuracy and adjustment of the client's data, as well as the planning and review of all legal documents.
- Complete immigration document preparation without supervision
- Ability to prepare case strategy and assessments and client management.
- Contacting USCIS, CBP, CIC and other government agencies with respect to client matters.
- Maintaining ongoing communication with clients and responding to queries.
- Managing all timelines, from case initiation to finalization, including providing regular updates to clients and initiating follow-ups on matters in progress.

Position Specific Competencies:

- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent writing, composition and editing skills
- Familiarity with the Canadian Immigration Portals
- Up-to-date knowledge of Canadian and/or US Immigration practices and procedures
- Must be highly organized and have the ability to communicate effectively
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple processes at the same time
- Must be able to work independently and work on files from start to finish
- Ability to follow instructions and meet tight deadlines
- Able to demonstrate resilience, self-motivation and a positive can do attitude
