**POSITION OVERVIEW**

We are looking for a Wood Shop Technician to join our team As a vital member of the production team, the Wood Shop Technician is responsible cutting and preparing materials for sign production and also manufacturing in-house wood barricades and products.

**KEY RESPONSABILITIES**
- Cut and prepare wood, metal, and various materials and substrates
- Assemble and paint various fabricated products such as wood barricades
- Operation of equipment and tools such as band saws, drills, etc.
- Assist in quality control of all production
- Maintain accurate stock and materials records
- Perform general labour in the production department and other areas
- Other tasks as needed/required

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Dependability and reliability
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to follow verbal and written plans/specifications
- Experience with power tools, band saws, drill presses, etc.
- General working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, google docs
- Ability to balance quality, speed, and attention to detail

**HOURS OF WORK**:
The typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Additional hours and overtime may be required during the busy season.
