We are currently seeking a
**Scientific Research Documentation Specialist** with a focus on technology to join our Montreal team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in scientific research, preferably in a technology-related field, who is adept at documenting complex research activities, particularly in the context of Canada's Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax incentive program.

**Hybrid position**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Document technical projects, especially those qualifying for SR&ED tax incentives, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with the Canada Revenue Agency's guidelines.
- Collaborate with technical teams to understand project goals, methodologies, experimental processes, and outcomes.
- Analyze and translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and well-structured documentation.
- Maintain comprehensive records of research activities, including objectives, hypotheses, experimentations, anomalous outcomes, and conclusions.
- Assist in identifying projects and activities that qualify for SR&ED claims.
- Stay updated with SR&ED program updates, tax laws, and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with external SR&ED consultants and accountants as needed.
- Provide guidance and training to technical teams on SR&ED documentation best practices.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a scientific field, preferably related to technology.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in scientific research and documentation for the purpose of obtaining federal & provincial tax incentives/subsidies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French & English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Familiarity with the SR&ED program and its documentation requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with mínimal supervision.
- Experience in the technology sector or an MSP environment is a plus.
