Reunion Coffee Roasters is currently seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and knowledgeable **Coffee Specialist **to support our business and plant operations. Our new Coffee Specialist will work with Quality Assurance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations to support coffee procurement and processing activities. You will work in the capacities of green coffee evaluation and coffee procurement, supporting ongoing quality initiatives in the research and development of our coffee programs.

On a practical level, you will:

- Perform daily production/certificate of analysis cupping;
- Process coffee matching requests (administration and sensory preparation);
- Manage coffee approval process for new product development;
- Oversee coffee quality process including blend and roast profile development, specification verification, and quality testing based on customer inquiries;
- Participate in customer sampling and trial requests;
- Lead coffee related internal/external customer interactions, including “Coffee 101s”;
- Approve and/or conduct calibrated sensory evaluations of contract samples;
- Upgrade, enhance, and maintain core quality levels on green portfolio;
- Assist QA in allocation of roasted coffee rework;
- Oversee coffee broker and supply chain relationships in relation to green inventory;
- Maintain QA control documentation.

If you have the following qualifications, we want to hear from you:

- 3+ years of experience in the coffee industry (roasting and/or sensory experience considered an asset);
- Q-Grader certification or willingness to be trained and certified;
- Ability to taste and evaluate coffee characteristics using the Specialty Coffee Association 100-point scale;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (charts, LOOKUP and IF functions);
- Superior time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks with mínimal supervision;
- Ability to problem solve and develop alternative solutions.
