Class 5/ Yard Assistant

The **Class 5 Driver -Yard Assistant, **is responsible for always keeping the work environment clean and tidy, complying with all safety regulations and procedures, cleaning and organizing portable restrooms and fence panels in our yard or the client's site, as well as helping deliver and pick up fence panels and service portable toilets all around the city.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Help pick up and deliver portable restrooms and fence panels.
- Always drive safely. Comply with all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in the company and client's sites and report immediately any incidents or accidents.
- Load and unload delivery trucks. Transport and store incoming portable restrooms, fence panels, and other goods in a designated area.
- Clean and sanitary portable restrooms in the company yard and the client's site.
- General maintenance and inspections of trucks according to the checklist.
- Maintain all pieces of equipment by routinely inspecting, conducting minor repairs, and notifying supervisor or manager of major repairs.
- Maintain good housekeeping of the assigned truck and always maintain a professional image.
- General cleaning of the building/yard and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
- Use clear, effective, and cordial communication with clients, co-workers, and management.
- Complete daily tasks most productively and efficiently with mínimal supervision
- Use power tools and operate equipment such as forklift and Bobcat.
- Provide any assistance to the team when asked.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Class 5 driver's licence with good driving record required.
- Good knowledge of the city routes and able to use a tracking system and tablets.
- Previous experience in roles such as a general labourer, car wash, wash bay, cleaning, and driving.
- Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jacket, and Bobcat an asset.
- Ability to work walking, using hands, bending, and up to 70 lbs lifting required.
- Mechanically inclined and familiar with power tools an asset.
- Own transportation as there is no bus service to our site.
- Excellent customer service, time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Integrity and Sense of urgency.
