Seafood Clerk

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and package seafood products for display and sale, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Assist customers in selecting seafood items, providing recommendations and cooking tips.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the seafood department, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Perform fish cutting and filleting as required, utilizing proper techniques and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure product availability.
- Conduct regular checks on product quality, freshness, and expiration dates.
- Collaborate with team members to create an inviting shopping experience for customers.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in seafood or meat departments.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Skills in meat cutting or fish preparation are highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation is a plus.
- Must be able to lift heavy items as needed and stand for extended periods.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
