Mold Technician

**Overview**

Working as a **Mold Technician**, you will be working alongside our Mold Group, a group of Skilled Trade professionals. You will play a vital role in supporting production within our Just-In-Time lean manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for servicing production molds, which includes preventative maintenance, modifications and repairs This position encompasses jigs, fixtures and general machining and the manufacturing end of arm tooling.

**Compensation and Benefits**
- **Rates starting at $36.25/hour (rate is determined based on Level and Experience)**:

- **Shift Premiums ranging from +$0.40 to +$0.65 (Afternoon Shift) & +$1.00 (Night Shift)**:

**Responsibilities**

By working in a Just-In-Time Environment - our Team must be flexible and willing to adapt to changing work priorities, while understating and maintaining a safe work environment. It is vital that we demonstrate respect for Team Members on all levels and working as a cross-functional team have open lines of communication.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for supporting production in times of repair and/or trouble. shooting injection processes.
- Prepared to be “on call”.
- Running/Operating all tool room equipment.
- Capable of Mig, Tig and Foil Welding.
- Working knowledge of master cam.
- Across shift coverage, overlapping when necessary.
- Must be certified Mold Maker/Tool and Die/Machinist.
- Capable of training Apprentices.
- Work in a safe manner within Health and Safety guidelines.
- Maintain 5S in all assigned areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
- TG Minto may amend the reporting structure and/or duties and responsibilities as business needs require.

- Two-year college diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing engineering Tool &Die/ Mold Making or General Machinist. 3 - 5 years
- Ability to communicate with skilled trades at all levels of experience and management
- Experience working with injection mold machines as well as paint is considered an asset
- Experience working with automation is considered an asset
- Experience working with Yaskawa is considered an asset
- Ability to read and write English
- _Must be willing to work Overtime when required_
