**MATTE PAINTER**
**Required Skills**:
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Nuke, and Maya. Clarisse, Houdini, and Zbrush are a big plus.
- At least 2 years of experience in creating high-quality digital matte paintings in a variety of different art styles.
- Strong grasp of art fundamentals such as Perspective, Form, Composition, Anatomy, Color, Value and Lighting
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of 3D software and the 3D production pipeline is a plus
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
Job Duties:
- Able to conceptualize environments/ props consistent with the project style and design and prepare the concept for modeling and texturing
- May require some guidance in different workflows (turnarounds, color concepting, shape design, matte painting, etc.)
- Take responsibility for their own work and can complete tasks within the time allotted
- Show passion for their craft and engage in similar activities in their spare time, including taking the time to further their knowledge through study
