**A day in the life**:
- Executing project work with a focus on environmental assessment and permitting for the mining industry primarily within Ontario, but also within Canada and internationally.
- Leading multi
- disciplinary teams of scientists and engineers to deliver high-end solutions to clients primarily with respect to environmental management, regulatory compliance and permitting projects.
- Overseeing, developing, and mentoring junior and intermediate staff through project work
- Managing projects including budgeting, scheduling, invoicing and client reporting and communication
**What you'll bring to WSP...**:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant project experience.
- Experience in the mining sector (preferred, but not required)
- Experience with Ontario environmental regulations and permitting a strong asset
- Experience with mine closure planning a strong asset
- Excellent technical writing and communications skills.
- Experience in the supervision and training of junior staff.
- Ability to logically break down a complex modelling study into smaller, manageable tasks.
- Ability to learn while working and willing to adapt to new challenges and/or changing client needs.
- Willingness to occasionally travel for work, both nationally and internationally.
- Valid driver’s license.
