**Role: QA Tester (Automation & Manual)**

**Location: Toronto. ON [Initial Remote]**

**Duration: Long term**

**ReadyAPI is MUST (Recent projects _ Expert level).**

**Responsible for**:

- Developing and maintenance of backend test cases and regression test suite to test quality and functionality of the code developed by the scrum team.
- Convert requirements/ user stories and design documents/ solution landscapes into a set of test cases and scripts
- Executing test cases to test functionality of stories.
- Executing regression test cases in support of releases.
- Providing input to Project Manager / Scrum Master on acceptance criteria for user stories and conducting manual functional testing to ensure additional coverage beyond automated testing.
- Prompt communication of issues to the team/ follow up with team
- Creating JIRA tickets to track any defects found because of testing and include appropriate information to help facilitate the resolution of defects (steps to reproduce, screenshots, etc)
- Working with backend development team to understand testing requirements

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish test cases
- Perform manual testing (e.g. non-automated)
- Maintain and upgrade automation test suites

**Deliverables**:

- Test results
- Defect management record logs

**Skills required**:

- Specialization in rigorous manual testing methods
- Agile methodology
- Coordination
- Automation will be required at one point to maintain current automation scripts

**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
