Please note that this Research Associate Position is funded by TRU's Integrated Strategic Planning (ISP) grant and supports the pan-university Honours College model and will involve considerable coordination with other ISP/Honours College teams and the Provost Office.
- Gather data from current TRU undergraduate students about their ideas, needs, and desires for future honours programming
- Consult with on-campus experts and gather data about designing a program that meets the needs of Indigenous learners
- Review best practices for recruiting and supporting learners from underserved groups—including first-generation, mature, rural, Indigenous, and students of color
- Catalogue existing support resources for faculty professional development around serving the needs of learners from equity-deserving groups—and determine gaps
- Catalogue existing student success support resources that could be drawn on to support honours program students—and determine gaps

This is a six-month position. The Research Associate will report to the project leads and work collaboratively with faculty and staff across the university on research, partnership building, and program development. Responsibilities will include data gathering, synthesis, and analysis; writing reports, presentations, and other forms of communication; and other duties as assigned.

The position is funded through the Honours College Project under TRU’s Integrated Strategic Planning initiative, at an annual salary of $48,000 plus benefits: Medical Services Plan, Extended Medical Services Plan, Dental Plan Insurance, Grouplife Insurance, Accident Death and Dismemberment Insurance, Short Term and Long Term Disability Benefits, and Pension Plan Enrolment.
