- Establish the cost price of products to ensure that all costs are recovered and that a desired margin is achieved when selling. Notably the allocation of labor.
- Process and complete price requests on a daily basis, submitting to account managers or the sales director for approval.
- Responsible for the entry and maintenance of customer-specific prices in the system.
- Maintain the accuracy of all price lists (national, export, sugar and flakes, distributor, etc.).
- Provide inter-plant transfer pricing.
- Ensure that transportation fees are included in submissions and ERP.
- Prepare reports to analyze margins (revenue, COGS), transportation costs/revenues, and any other relevant analyses to explain sales results.
- Explain margin variances, investigate, and provide recommendations.
- Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly analyses in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Prepare the necessary data and information for the budgeting and quarterly forecasting process, by products, by clients.
- Support marketing on new product development initiatives by estimating product costs (including labor, overhead, etc.).
- Gather information on market prices by geographical region to help guide pricing decisions.
- Conduct business analyses to support the sales team by identifying customer pricing trends.
