**What does an average day look like?**:
- Make sure that the complex is maintained and that the residents can enjoy a safe, clean environment.
- Schedule and supervise day-to-day operations of maintenance and cleaning staff
- Provide a safe work environment
- Ensure that preventive maintenance schedules are followed
- Update the inventory management files for equipment, tools and other goods (no need to be an Excel expert)
- Work closely with our suppliers and partners
- Provide residents with efficient and warm customer service—you know, like you’d want for your own parents
- Make sure that all the necessary products for maintaining and operating the complex are purchased, all while staying on budget
- Answer service calls outside of normal work hours (You might not have a trusty red Bat Phone, but our residents will certainly think of you as their very own Superman)
**A typical day as Head of Maintenance at Selection Group isn’t so typical. You will**:
- Have the time to really BE with our seniors
- Collaborate with your team by performing plumbing, electricity and carpentry jobs
- Have a chance to build relationships with your coworkers from other departments
- Contribute to resident well-being by responding to their requests and providing respectful, personalized service
- Motivate, rally, train and coach your team
- Be eligible for basic prescription drug insurance, fully paid by Selection Group
- Be able to enjoy very low-cost meals prepared with love by our team
