**B.Ed Grads / Current LTOs - Classroom Teaching Opportunities (Grade 1-8)**

InnovOak School was established in 2021 in Kitchener-Waterloo Ontario. As an education start-up, we pride ourselves on providing a strong academic program that will give students the tools and skills they need to succeed, graduate, and be remarkable in all areas of adult life. InnovOak is a Ministry Inspected Private School for Grades JK-12 and we grant an OSSD and our own ISHGD. Our Lower and Middle School teachers must be committed to preparing for Grade 9 credit success rather than passing students on to the next grade.

- Create a dynamic, warm and nurturing classroom environment that is organized, and provides a wide variety of learning opportunities for students.
- Creatively implement overarching school goals into classroom teaching (such as LifeReady or InnovOak's Core Skill Development) as part of the school team
- Committed to working with the Lower and Middle School colleagues, ensuring classroom learning supports the overall goals and objectives required by the school.
- Differentiate instruction, set learning goals, and create learning plans that tirelessly move students well beyond meeting current year curriculum.
- Able to effortlessly manage student groups of up to 15 by ensuring students are engaged, by being well prepared and seamlessly organized.
- Meticulously completing all teacher administrative tasks ensuring seamless running of the school operations
- Be able to adapt, create and develop learning activities from curriculum expectations using teacher creativity.
- Help to professionally shape and develop our standardized grade level expectations, programming, and resources (as InnovOak standardizes scopes and sequences to JK-8)
- Must be committed to working with students to exceed the grade level curriculum (our students begin Grade 1 Reading and Writing and will do Reach ahead credits in Grade 8)
- Must be able to plan and differentiate instruction to meet students at their starting point using a variety of individual, small group and larger group instruction

**Particulars for this Opportunity**

- Must demonstrate Ontario classroom experiences and an understanding of growing success
- Must provide a VSC and provide 3 suitable references to be hired. (a reference from an administrator during placement is appropriate)
- To teach reading, writing and oral communications, our teachers must have a high degree of English fluency
