**Immediate availability. We are willing to relocate you.**

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Captain to safely pilot the Edmonton Queen riverboat in the North Saskatchewan River. As a Captain you will be responsible for the navigation and entire safety of all persons onboard. You will directly control and pilot the Edmonton Queen on a daily basis.

Our riverboat only operates short distance cruises up and down the North Saskatchewan River. The river is quite shallow and has tricky channels to navigate. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Safely piloting up and down the North Saskatchewan River.
- Mooring and unmooring of the vessel during docking and departure.
- Maintain records and log books of ship operations.
- Communicate effectively with crew members and treat all members of staff with respect.
- You must be a team player.
- Report hazards, damage or potential operational issues to management.
- Support loading and unloading of supplies as needed.
- Support and assist with basic maintenance tasks.
- Follow safety procedures at all times, run emergency drills, and support crew during any incidents.
- Assist in preparing for and managing our annual Transport Canada inspections.
- Be the face of the company and provide friendly and professional assistance to passengers during boarding, disembarking, and while underway.

**Qualifications**:

- Master 500 GT, domestic ticket or equivalent (a Chief Mate unlimited may Master on sheltered waters)
- You must have direct experience piloting vessels of similar sizes.
- You must have direct experience with twin-screw or dual propulsion systems.
- You must be a Canadian resident, permanent resident, or be from a country with reciprocal agreements with Canada (Australia, Belgium, Brunei Darussalam, France, Georgia, Ireland, Jamaica, Norway, Republic of Panama, Republic of the Philippines, United Kingdom, Ukraine)
- Proficient in English.

Thank you to all applicants for your interest in joining the Edmonton Riverboat team. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
