Community Living Cambridge is a local not-for-profit organization that employs more than 300 staff and supports hundreds of adults with developmental disabilities. In Cambridge there are 24 group homes with supported living, work, volunteering, recreational, and adult development programs.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Assist person(s) with activities of daily living. This includes: feeding, lifts and transfers, bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, and toileting
- Provide personal assistance using a cane, walker, or during transfer.
- Continuously observe person(s) and their environments. Must report and document unsafe conditions and behavioral, physical, and / or cognitive changes to an appropriate supervisor
- Uphold Inclusion, Respect, Innovation, and Accountability to the individuals we support
- Advocate for the rights of citizens with developmental disabilities
- Support individuals to identify, work towards and achieve their dreams and personal outcomes
- Participate in all activities of daily living (i.e. cleaning, cooking, medication dispensing, personal care, as well as potential lifts and transfers) Some lifting may be required.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and timely
- Demonstrate a person centered philosophy and commitment to CLC’s mission.

**Qualification**
- A Developmental Services Diploma or a university degree in Psychology, Sociology or a related field
- Experience working with individuals who have dual diagnosis, autism, behavioral challenges and mental illness
- Previous experience working with people who have medical, behavioral, and personal care support will be an asset.
- Assist in implementing personal support plans and behavioral support plans
- Strong mediation, conflict resolution and decision making skills
- Strong listening, observation and communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to manage crisis situations
- Carry out program requirements and other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Must be 18 years of age
- Must hold a valid G2 or G driver’s license
- Provide a vulnerable sector check
- Provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination

**Hours and Shifts**
- Weekday and Weekend availability required
- Overnight awake position

**Salary**
- Starting at $18/hr

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour
