**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:

- Food Service Worker (FSW) training program completed by Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts & Technology or equivalent as stated in the MOLTC Act.
- Food Handler’s Certificate
- Previous food service experience in health care setting an asset
- Portioning in the production area may be part of this position
- Good attendance record
- Must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team

**Food Handler’s Certificate**

We do require all applicants to have a completed Food Handler’s Certificate. The Certificate provides quality knowledge about safe food handling, as well as thoroughly prepares learners for the food handler certification exam. There are various online paid programs that offer the Food Handler’s Certificate and it can be completed in less than a day

**Food Service Worker Program**

Applicants must have completed or currently enrolled in a Food Services Worker Program which provides critical knowledge for food safety, preparation and nutrition. It seeks to address the staffing and training needs for Dietary Aides within the healthcare system in Ontario.
