Services to smaller and remote communities continue to be a significant need, and the idea for a bookmobile was born. The Bruce County Public library has secured and modified a vehicle, the ‘bookmobile’ that will deliver scheduled visits and programs across the county. By visiting strategic locations and events, users will have a meeting place that enables them to develop relationships, build on common interests, and enhance their literacy and lives. The incumbent ensures a welcoming library environment and ensures the smooth operation of the Mobile Library through exceptional customer service, circulation functions, provision of Bookmobile programming as well as direct implementation of programs and community outreach. The position involves a great deal of multitasking, organizational skills, and the ability to make decisions quickly and decisively. The incumbent undertakes supervisory duties for any volunteers, clerks, summer students or pages assisting with the Bookmobile. **Requirements**: - Two-year post-secondary diploma in Library Sciences or a related field - One year of previous experience in a unionized library, including providing programming for all ages - Advanced computer skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs - Excellent writing skills, including proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation - Ability to identify
