**Product Cost Clerk**

We have three corporate accounting teams who serve three major Walker Industries divisions. Working on a team with a General Accountant and reporting to one of our Controllers, alongside AR/AP colleagues, you’ll support the accounting needs for our Environmental Division.

Specifically, in this role, you’ll own these responsibilities:

- Maintains production work definitions assigning key product cost elements including overhead and raw material allocations.
- Reviews inventory costs and product margins and updating costs where required.
- Reviews overhead allocations as compared to budget and recommends changes as required.
- Prepares costing analysis, standard variances and provides required reports for review.
- Reconciles inventory general ledger with sub-ledger on monthly basis.
- Analyzes requests for product cost and quantity adjustments and process adjustments where required.
- Assists Controller with physical count process and subsequent adjustments.
- Participates in assigned projects, including review of system and operational processes and provides training to new users where required.
- Assists with the Budgeting process, as well as month end processes, year-end closing and various audit processes.
- Supports managers with production of various reports and data analysis as well as responds to information requested.
- Provide back up support to the finance department as required
- Performs other related duties as deemed necessary for the successful operation of the department

**Qualifications**

You’re already known for being able to manage multiple demands and your ability to move tasks forward to completion, are organized and detail-oriented - you also communicate at a high level both verbally and in writing. A great problem solver, you have a positive attitude with an eagerness to learn, taking advantage of opportunities to gain skills and advance your capabilities.

In addition, and at a minimum, these qualifications will help you stand out:

- Minimum high school graduation, or equivalent level of education, plus a college diploma or university degree in Accounting or related discipline.
- Greater than one year with relevant costing and accounting experience.
- Knowledge and working with Oracle Cloud is an asset.
- Proficiency with Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel (filters and formulas work) plus database management expertise.
- Well-rounded business aptitude, including the eagerness to stay current in your field and the industries that you work in.
