Gore Mutual’s Personal Insurance Underwriting team is growing We are looking to add several new team members to our National Operations Centre and set the stage for continued growth and expansion. Our Underwriters deliver genuine personal service to our brokers, listen carefully to understand their needs, and create tailored solutions blending the needs of the customer with profitable underwriting results.

**What will you be do?**
- The function of this job is to process and underwrite basic auto and property renewals, simple new business, and endorsements to develop and retain profitable businesses.
- Responding to broker questions regarding product inquiries via omni channel contact center
- First call resolution to broker inquiry regarding underwriting rules, underwriting guidelines, risk acceptance, and system assistance
- Adherence to quality assurance measures, such as call monitoring, corporate audits, and productivity targets
- Feedback from customer surveys to ensure quality service is being provided.
- Collaborating with other departments, as needed, to resolve broker problems quickly and provide a timely response back to the broker

**What will you need to succeed?**
- 1-3 years of previous underwriting experience in personal insurance is required
- CIP designation or working towards designation is preferred
- Proficient computer skills with strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite programs
- Excellent communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to take initiative and work with mínimal supervision

NOTE: This is a hybrid role that includes the flexibility to work remotely, but also regular in-person meetings in our Vancouver office is expected (thrice a week).
