**We are searching for a Human Resources Business Partner who**:

- Is seeking an opportunity to support a regional area of retail stores in all HR Generalist related matters in the West GTHA area (i.e. Hamilton, Halton, Mississauga)
- Is passionate about providing actionable HR insights to drive decision making
- Has experience as an HRBP or HR Generalist
- Is eager to engage directly with Store Managers and Team Members to provide guidance in a wide variety of HR areas to, including recruitment strategy, talent development and career planning, employee engagement and employee relations.

What you’ll do:

- Maintain an active field presence at assigned locations to proactively support and coach store management and team members on HR related issues.
- Work with the Store Operations and HR Colleagues to build operational bench strength by identifying high potentials for promotions, transfers and career development opportunities.
- Ensure the implementation of effective recruitment strategies and best practices to support the recruitment needs of stores.
- Oversee the HR related project management supporting new store openings.
- Provides coaching and guidance on performance management, team member relations issues and policy interpretation.
- Conducts Human Rights Investigations in accordance with Longos Harassment & Workplace Violence Policy Guidelines.
- Supports the annual rollout of the Employee Engagement Survey and provide ongoing support in the understanding and action planning of the results.
- Ensure company compliance with all legislative requirements including employment standards, human rights, health and safety, accessibility standards as well as business practices and standards.

What we are looking for:

- 3 to 5 years Human Resources, generalist-level experience, ideally having worked in a multi-unit retail environment.
- Demonstrated service oriented, problem-solving approach.
- University and/or College education, preferably in a discipline related to Human Resources
- CHRL or in pursuit of the designation
- Knowledge of employment laws, employee relations practices and HR disciplines
- Strong coaching, facilitation skills, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills - ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Professional in maintaining a high level of confidentiality
- Strong computer skills-Microsoft Office products and HRIS system experience
