**Job Summary**:
The **Inspection Trainee **in **Nisku, Alberta **will assist Operators in the inspection and minor repair of tubular goods and is responsible for pipe handling, cleaning and inspection and minor repair of tubular goods, including drill pipe.

**Essential Job Responsibilities**:

- Assisting Operators in the utilization of the drift machine and pipe rotators.
- Thread and Magnetic Particle Inspection.
- Cleaning and minor repair of pipe threads, Drifting of tubulars.
- Equipment set up, tear down and calibration as directed.
- Basic maintenance, general housekeeping and shop cleanup.
- Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures and programs; including but not limited to the process map, support processes, health, safety and environmental requirements
- Participate in training programs as required by the company.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Partial high school education with the ability to read, write and speak a minimum amount of English to perform job duties
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service
- Standard First Aid and H2S Alive training preferred

**HSE Requirements**:

- Work is performed in a shop and yard environment. Possibility to be exposed to dust, fumes or gases and changes of temperature/humidity.
- Physical requirements: squatting, bending, reaching, twisting, lifting up to 23 kilograms, walking on rough ground, and working near moving equipment.
- Required to at all times wear proper protective clothing and equipment and perform duties in a safe manner
