Pets West in Victoria, BC is a full-line pet store, offering a wide range of pet supplies and food for dogs, cats, birds, fish, small animals, reptiles, and wild birds. We also provide a cat adoption service.

We are looking for someone with high energy to fill the position of Sales Associate.

We are looking for a highly motivated and positive individual, on a full-time or part-time basis, that has a passion for helping people and their pets. Any retail/sales and customer service background would be considered an asset, and is available during the week and weekends.

**Position Summary**

**Major Responsibilities**
- Educating consumers on raw pet food and identifying pet owners’ needs
- Providing nutritional advice to pet owners and recommending supplemental products
- Restocking shelves from stored inventory
- Rotating stock around the store
- Operating the sales terminal
- Tending to and resolving customer concerns
- Lifting and maneuvering up to 50lb boxes of products

**Qualifications**
- Sales experience
- Retail experience
- Experience with POS/inventory software
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Love of pets and extensive knowledge of pet specialty retail, with preference given to individuals who are educated on frozen raw pet food
