**What We Need**:
We are seeking a full-time member to join our Finance team If you are a person that **enjoys managing the role's job function but also** **thrives as an individual contributor while striving for continuous improvement of processes**, then we’d love to hear from you

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing consolidated external financial statements and accompanying notes, drafting interim and annual statements while ensuring that company disclosures and accounting activities meet the regulatory requirements.

**What you’ll bring**:

- University degree with a professional accounting designation (CPA designation)
- Minimum 5 years of related experience, public accounting firm or public company experience preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS
- Ability to work independently and take accountability and ownership of duties
- Highly self-motivated with proven time management abilities
- Highly detail oriented

**What you’ll do**:

- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements (including MDA, M/C, AIF, Press Release) in accordance with IFRS, including the preparation of consolidation entries and financial statement disclosure.
- Coordinate year end and statutory audits including the completion of all related audit documentation, coordinating with external auditors and liaise with business units to ensure statements and schedules are available for the auditors as per agreed timetable and timely resolution of audit queries.
- Review and analyze monthly financial statements, working papers and supporting documentation
- Coordinate the preparation and filing of annual corporate tax filings.
- Coordinate annual testing over internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to ensure compliance with COSO 2013.
- Monitor financial results against budget and analyze overages on a monthly basis, communicate findings to Finance and Department management.
- Work with Finance and Department management to assist and prepare:

- Annual budget
- Short-term plan forecasts
- Long-term plan forecasts
- Other financial models and forecasts.
- Assist with administration of the external debt program including bank covenant compliance.
- Assist with special projects as required in support of finance initiatives.
- Ensure internal and external reporting timelines are maintained and deadlines met.
- Keep up to date on new developments within the company and industry and conduct research for technical accounting issues.
- Interact with management, other departments and various external parties providing information as required.
