**Position: Experienced Dental Receptionist**

Busy boutique downtown dental office looking for a Dental Receptionist who can assist as a Sterilization and Sedation Monitoring Assistant to work 3-4 days per week. We are looking for someone with at least one year of reception experience in a dental clinic.

**About Us**

We are a privately owned single dentist dental clinic located on 124th Street in Edmonton. The practice is expanding, and we are looking to hire an administrative assistant to work 3-4 days a week. We pride our boutique dental clinic on being a warm, friendly and client-focused dental practice. We are seeking an individual to join our team and help manage the customer service, administrative role and assist with running the sterilization unit and sedation monitoring.

**Responsibilities**

**Patient Support**:

- Welcoming the patients into the office and providing a warm, positive atmosphere.
- Following up with patients after their appointments to hear how they are doing.
- Scheduling or rescheduling patients.
- Following up with referring third-party dental clinics.
- Providing treatment coordination

**Financial Duties**:

- Collecting insurance and payment information for patients and corresponding with insurance companies on patient benefits.
- A basic understanding of accounting would be helpful.

**Sterilization Duties**:Assist dental assistant with sterilization procedures.

**Sedation Monitoring Assistant**:If required - to have the ability to assist dentist and dental assistant with monitoring sedation cases

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in an administrative capacity, dental clinic
- Knowledge of dental procedures
- Friendly and professional attitude when interacting with colleagues, patients, or others
- Reporting and Filing experience
- Scanning documentation
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in using dental software - Dentrix preferred
- First aid is mandatory

**Salary**: Competitive based on experience

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 - 30 per week
