MANAGER OF AQUATICS
Are you a dynamic individual with municipal managerial experience with training and a background in Aquatics?
The City of Camrose is seeking an experienced and energetic individual for the full-time permanent position of Manager of
Aquatics to take the Mayer Aquatic Centre in an exciting direction. This excellent opportunity will see you manage 7 full time
employees, over 50 casual employees and oversee all facets of a fully renovated and expanded multi-purpose Aquatic
Centre.
The successful applicant must demonstrate skills in budgeting, human resources, facility management/maintenance with
an excellent track record in aquatics management and/or recreation facility management with aquatics knowledge.

**FUNCTIONS/DUTIES (but not limited to)**:
- Provide on-going leadership and support to Aquatic employees.
- Overseeing planning, implementation, evaluation and scheduling of aquatic facilities in Camrose.
- Assist in the research, planning and execution of both the Operational and Capital budgets of the Aquatic
Section.
- Liaison with institutions and organizations which are regular or occasional users of aquatic facilities
- Implementation and administration of the maintenance of the physical and mechanical operation of the facility.
- Recruitment, training, development, performance management and assessment of staff.
- Respond to after hour facility demands.
- All other related duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- AARFP Pool Operator Level 2.
- National Lifeguard Certification.
- Lifesaving Society and/or Red Cross Instructor Certification.
- Minimum five (5) years previous work experience in aquatic operations and in a supervisory capacity.
- High degree of efficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
- Strong understanding of aquatic filtration systems and pool chemistry.
- Basic understanding of building mechanical systems.
- Good understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation.
- Possess excellent organizational skills and abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
**HOURS OF WORK**:The base hours of work for this position will equate to 37.5 hours per week and the days of work will
generally be Monday to Friday, however there may be some alterations to these set hours and work days based on
operational requirements. Additional hours will be required depending on events, projects and timelines.
