**About You**:
We are seeking a self-motivated, friendly, and experienced purchaser to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a critical role in the success of our business by developing purchasing strategies, working with vendors and suppliers, and procuring goods and supplies to meet production requirements.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Source and conduct research on potential products, vendors, and services, comparing price and quality to ensure the best options available.
- Negotiate as necessary to attain competitive pricing and ensure materials are shipped in time to meet production requirements.
- Meet with and develop new vendor relationships to improve on price, quality, and delivery.
- Plan, organize and manage daily/weekly purchasing to meet production schedules.
- Manage inventory levels for production needs, including forecasting and ensuring max / min levels are always maintained.
- Create and issue purchase orders for materials and equipment, using established company purchasing procedures.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding stock availability, ETA, and product specifications, and provide regular updates to Upper Management.
- Manage and maintain all open purchase orders to ensure accuracy and expected delivery dates are kept current.
- Continuously assesses the production schedule and the product being produced and react in a timely manner to communicate potential problems regarding inventory or current stock.
- Confirm and coordinate shipping and receiving of raw materials into the facility.
- Examine products or materials to estimate quantities of materials being received.
- Process shipping documents and performs other required shipping administrative tasks to increase shipping efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Completion of High School required
- 2 - 5 years purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Able to read and interpret fabrication drawings (blueprints)
- Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function effectively and productively within a team focused work group
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
