Order Picker

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
The primary responsibility of the order picker will be to pull materials for projects and customer shipments. This person will also be responsible for assisting in regular cycle counts and working closely with materials management on initiatives to improve inventory storage and usage. Regular housekeeping and organizing parts will be necessary.

**Duties involved with this position include**:

- Picking parts and transacting inventory movement in ERP system.
- Picking and packing of service parts
- Projects as assigned to improve the flow and movement of inventory within the factory
- Assist with inventory cycle counts
- Assist with annual count preparations
- Assist with forklift support as needed
- Assist the shipping department when required
- Packaging finished goods
- Shipping finished goods
- Assist the receiving department when required
- Unloading of incoming trucks
- Putting parts away in proper designated areas
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Complete other duties as assigned

**Experience**:

- 1-2 years’ experience in a related position
- Certified or willing to be certified to operate a forklift
- Effective organization and multi-tasking ability
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Demonstrate sound work ethics
- Takes initiative and is responsible and creative

**Knowledge**:

- Experience with Excel, and ERP/MRP systems an asset
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Fergus, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- order picking/material handling: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- lift truck certification (preferred)
