**Respite Support Worker**

Are you dedicated to delivering compassionate care to individuals in need? We’re seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Respite Support Workers. This role provides a meaningful chance to positively influence lives while gaining valuable experience within the healthcare and Disability Services sectors.

Please note: This is a casual position primarily for evenings and weekends. There is also flexibility to take on additional shifts with other families.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver respite care to clients aged 2 to 17 years
- Support with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications in accordance with healthcare provider instructions
- Provide G-tube training and support
- Prepare and serve meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when needed
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Plan and facilitate activities that align with the client’s interests and abilities

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Previous experience is an asset but not required
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures is advantageous
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, empathetic, and respectful attitude towards clients
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting client privacy

**Requirements**:

- Valid First Aid certification
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- CFS Intervention Check

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $20.50-$24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
