_Centennial Carstar Amherst is looking for an organized, motivated individual to join our team as a Collision Technician_

**NOW HIRING**: Collision Technician

**LOCATION**: Centennial Carstar Amherst, Amherst, NS

**HOURS**: Full time, Permanent. 40+ hours per week.

**WAGES**:$20.00 - $30.00 per hour + benefits. Negotiable based on experience.

**THE PERFECT FIT**:
**APPLICABLE SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Red Seal designation in Auto Body and Collision Technician required
- Must be reliable and show initiative
- Valid Canadian driver’s license is required
- Strong technical knowledge of auto body collision and mechanical repairs
- Thorough understanding of the collision repair process including quality standards
- Strong attention to detail
- Organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Capable of working independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Physically capable (standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, etc)
- Previous experience in the field is required

**MAIN JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired
- Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
- Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills; bolt or weld replacement parts into place
- Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs
- Repair or replace interior components
- Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
- Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
- Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
- Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
- Take photos to document the repair process
- Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
