**About us**

The Manx is a small scratch kitchen. We have been serving the community house made meals for 30 years now.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our team. As a Kitchen Helper, you will assist in food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience in the hospitality and food service industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils
- Assist in food preparation under the guidance of the kitchen staff
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and notify the supervisor when items need to be restocked
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries
- Help with dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness in the dishwashing area
- Support the kitchen staff in various tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a hotel, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment is preferred
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Help: Assist kitchen staff with various tasks as needed
- Food handling: Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation
- Kitchen: Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Hospitality: Provide friendly and efficient service to customers or guests
- Restaurant: Understanding of restaurant operations and standards
- Cook: Basic cooking skills for assisting with food preparation
- Food preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking or serving
- Food service: Knowledge of serving food to customers or guests
