The Town of Ponoka is currently recruiting for Temporary Administrative Support in Recreation Services starting April 28, 2025 to August 29, 2025.

**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Recreation Coordinator, the Seasonal Recreation Administrative Support position provides administrative support to the Recreation Services Department and other Town Departments.

**Typical Duties and Responsibilities**
- Works with community groups to plan programming in recreation facilities.
- Maintains respectful and collaborative relationships with coworkers.
- Performs basic administrative duties and electronic record keeping.
- Provides input into the operational daily planning process as necessary.
- Assist with planning of community events and recreation programming initiatives.
- Able to work independently and make routine decisions regarding ongoing daily operations.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Preference will be given to students enrolled in a recreation related degree, Business Administration, Communications or other related programs.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Satisfactory background screening is required for this position including and Criminal Record Check.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license, satisfactory driver’s abstract and access to a personal vehicle.

**Working Conditions**
- Travel to off-site locations may be required.
- May be required to work weekend and evening shifts, occasional overtime may be required.
- Varying levels of physical effort, including moderate lifting up to 25 kg may be required.

**Health and Safety**

Ensure the Town of Ponoka health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices are followed in accordance with the _Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations._

**Recruitment**
- Position status: Temporary full-time. April 28, 2025 to August 29, 2025.
- Salary range: $17.86 per hour
