**About the Position**:
Theatre Aquarius is seeking **two Child Supervisors** for the purpose of the care and supervision of 20 child performers in _**A Christmas Story The Musical **_at Theatre Aquarius. Children range in age from 9-14 years old. The supervisor must have experience with children and be able to plan and lead activities for the children when they are not in rehearsal. **Please note this position will be shared between 2 people and the anticipated hours are between 15-25 hours per week.**

**Rehearsal Schedule**:
November 12 - December 3, 2024

Tuesday through Sunday (Monday off)

10am-6pm. and 3:30pm-6:30 pm *children will not be called for all rehearsals and so the exact day/times will vary*

**Production Schedule**:
December 4 - December 22, 2024

Tuesday through Saturday from 6:30-10:30pm (shows are at 7:30pm)

Saturday and Sunday matinees from 12:30-4:30pm (shows are at 1:30pm)

Possible Wednesday matinees - time to be determined

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise 20 children in the production.
- Stay in the rehearsal room when they are rehearsing
- Plan and lead activities when children are in the break room and not rehearsing.
- Communicate with parents regularly, answer questions etc.
- Report any incidents of concern to the theatre.
- Complete a daily Child Supervisor log provided by the Canadian Actors Equity Association

**Required Qualifications**:

- Secondary School or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with children.
- Knowledge of theatre etiquette is an asset.
- A vulnerable police check will be required prior to commencement of employment.
