Allied Universal is seeking** Professional Security Guards** in Canada**.**

**Position**:Security Professional - Gate

**Type**:Full Time (Temporary) - 3 to 4 Weeks

**Location**: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta

**Pay Rate**:$20 -$21 per hour

**Schedule: Full-Time Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, and statutory/religious holidays)**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Manage access control and check ID of staff entering the facility, issue correct identificaiton
- Conduct foot and vehiclular patrols
- Detect or prevent thefts and vandalism
- Write detailed narrative reports, maintain daily activity reports
- Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures and resopnd to emergency situations requiring security assistance
- Resolve conflict situations whilst staying calm and collected
- Respond to alarms
- Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed

**QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS**:

- Be **at least 25 years of age** with high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a VALID, unrestricted, Class 5 driver's licence
- Legally entitled to work full-time in Canada
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
- Must have a VALID Alberta Security Licence
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol test.
- As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background check
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
- Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
- Able to:

- Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 20 kilograms
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
