**Key tasks**
- **New product development**
- Brief analysis/Market Feedback/ Sales (Retail & Industrial) Requests, Ad hoc requests.
- Concept and recipe design
- Tasting panels/Surveys: Qualitative and/or Quantitative data analysis
- Costing (If applicable)
- In-house resource allocation
- Procurement and supplier/ ingredient identification: processing aides, flavorings.
- Shelf life testing as required
- Line testing, scaling and SOP/BoM creation.
- Continuous improvement.
- **Line and/or Existing Product Improvements**
- Work with key individuals/ stakeholder (Executive Branch, QC/QA, Supply Chain, Marketing, Customer Service & Sales)
- Work promptly to address line issues to improve quality and efficiencies at scale
- **Experience in HACCP, SQF manufacturers**:

- **Work within the parameters of allergen and dietary constraints mandated by Quality Assurance**:

- **R&D Lab/Kitchen area**
- Daily Sanitation measures
- Scheduled equipment/area maintenance and sanitation.
- Inventory control
- Prepare and complete samples in a timely manner (2 week window, depending on complexity)
- **Marketing/Spec Sheets**
- Descriptions
- Marketing recipes
- Organoleptic descriptions

**Ideal profile**
- Background in research and development, professional cooking, product development or any other relevant field
- Can work independently and maximize resources
- Confectionary & Chocolate knowledge
- Training & Development under Stage Gate
- Understand of B2C, B2B project requirement’s: i.e. Industrial needs like an airline vs. retailer requests
- Market Segments and Consumer Trends
- Focus on cost reduction
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite and Nutrisoft or Genesis software
- Proficiency in English (oral and written)
- Proficiency in French (oral and written) _Asset_
