**Stair and Railing Carpenter**
**Responsibilities**
- Read drawings and sketches to fully grasp the requirements
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
- Use manual and power tools to cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements
- Build staircases and railings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
- Lay out materials, ensuring they are leveled and compatible
- Assemble stairs, railings/other components and install them where designated
- Uphold high-quality workmanship
- Maintain shop cleanliness and equipment
**Requirements and skills**
- Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, tape measure, etc.)
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good ability to speak, write, and read in English
- Good working math skills
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Experience with stair and rail carpentry is an asset but not a requirement
**Salary**: $20.00-$39.00 per hour
**Benefits**:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
