Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Fuel Truck Operator will be responsible for the safe operation, pickup and delivery of fuel to a construction site in the Moncton area.

We are recruiting provincially for this role however preference will be given to applicants in the Moncton, NB area.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate single axle, tandem and tri-drive body job fuel trucks manual and automatic transmission
- Deliveries are of all different types including but not limited too, wheel to wheel, tank and cardlock deliveries
- Complete daily logbook
- Complete daily truck manifest
- Complete daily vehicle inspection report
- Hand in fully completed paperwork daily
- Ensure any incidents are reported immediately to terminal manager
- Operate all Bird equipment in a safe and courteous manner
- Deliver product safely with regard to the environment, use spill trays and spill pads to ensure no product is released
- Keep all delivery equipment clean and tidy
- Shifts will depend on workload

What we are looking for:

- Class 3 driver’s license with air brakes (class 1 preferred but not required)
- Clean driver’s abstract dated within the last 30 days
- French and English preferred
- Fuel delivery truck experience
- Good knowledge of the city of Moncton and surrounding area
- You are able to work outdoors in all types of extreme weather conditions, sometimes in remote or hazardous locations that are often noisy and dirty
- Able to work safely around occupational risks such as potential explosions, flying particles, falling objects, noise, and hazardous chemicals
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Lifting up to 20 kilograms is required
