Location: Scarborough, ON
**What Does a Winter Sub Foreperson Do?**:
Handles the coordination of all of the team’s tasks in order to build the structure to professional standards in their field of activity (roads, piping, rail, etc.) in observance of the safety guidelines.
**As a Winter Sub Foreperson, You Will**:
- Arrange operators to report for winter plowing and salting operations
- Review operator performance and correct any actions where necessary
- Payroll and administrative responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of winter operators
- Fulfill contractual obligations and maintain records for MTO reporting
- Ensure all GPS systems are working
- Upon request, call in drivers and operate equipment within a short period of time
- Responsible for yard, salt management, housekeeping duties, and equipment maintenance
- All other duties assigned
**What You'll Bring**:
- Moderate computer skills with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of CVOR requirements and MTO Regulations
- Strong knowledge of Schedule 1 and how to perform vehicle inspections
- Working in a team environment
- Experience with scheduling and maintaining operator hours for payroll
- Familiar with the MOL standards and legislations
- Ability to fill out MTO forms and reports
- Must have superb written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and cognitive thinking
- DZ or greater license an asset
- Plowing and salting experience an asset
- Must be available 24/7 including days, weekends, and nights
- Comfortable with working in extreme weather conditions where necessary
