As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for reading blueprints and working with lumber, plywood, wallboard, and other materials to help within the scope of our Building Envelope projects. You may build and repair wooden structures and use a variety of tools such as hammers, power saws, tape measures, drills, etc. depending on the needs of our Building Envelope project.

**Responsibilities**:

- Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work
- Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style
- Calculating the number of fasteners required for each job
- Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects, and building code recommendations
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and other construction professionals
- Other duties assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Must have at least 3 years of experience as a Carpenter.
- A certificate in the relevant area is preferred.
- Experience in using hand and power tools such as drills, chisels, sanders, saws, and nail guns.
- Commitment to the job site safety and project quality
- Understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and Safety Guidelines
- Excellent organizational and execution skills
- Experience using construction machinery is an asset
