Summary:
**Job Title and Summary**
- Position: Shipper & Receiver in the Shipping department.
- Reports to: Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.
- Responsible for accurate deliveries and customer service while adhering to safety and quality standards.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Pick, pack, and load goods safely to prevent damage.
- Prepare Bills of Lading and arrange carrier pickups.
- Check incoming/outgoing goods and report discrepancies.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct daily cycle counts.
- Operate hand pallet trucks and assist production departments.
**Qualifications**
- Education: High school diploma or GED; 1-2 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of traffic regulations and inventory control techniques.
- Familiarity with FedEx and motorized pallet trucks preferred.
- Basic computer skills and understanding of ERP functions required.
**Language and Mathematical Skills**
- Ability to read and comprehend manuals and communicate effectively.
- Proficient in basic math operations and computing rates and percentages.
**Physical Demands**
- Requires frequent standing, walking, and handling objects.
- Must regularly move up to 45 pounds and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
**Work Environment**
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
- Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
Pay: $23.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
**Experience**:
- Manufacturing: 3 years (preferred)
- Shipping & receiving: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
