**POSITION: Facilities Lead-Hand**

**OVERVIEW**

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Facilities Lead-Hand, contributes to the effective operation of Hollyburn through the coordination and supervision of operations and staff. The Facilities Lead-Hand is responsible for all building and court maintenance; servicing and preventative maintenance of the Club’s machinery and equipment, training staff, and developing and implementing policies and operational procedures. This individual is expected to provide expertise with escalations for all matters pertaining to facilities related matters.

**DUTIES**
- Promote a safe, friendly, and enjoyable recreational atmosphere
- Resolve problems with staff or patrons and refers to management when appropriate
- Prepare reports and maintain records as required
- Schedules, assigns work, coaches, evaluates, mentors, and motivates engineering staff
- Develop and deliver staff training
- Manage inventories, assign work orders, and purchase supplies for the engineering department through our CMMS system
- Act as the lead technician for ice maintenance and court (indoor/outdoor) maintenance
- Ensure a high standard of safety and cleanliness is met with regards to all public and staff areas, ice and pool water quality and all building systems
- Support and oversee the preventative maintenance program for the facilities’ machinery and equipment
- Provide and maintain an excellent standard of service across all areas of the club
- Monitors and inspects contractor’s work and evaluates their performance
- Perform maintenance and/or custodial duties as required and other related duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum IFO Power Engineering certification
- Minimum 2 years' experience in ice rink maintenance and ammonia plant operation
- Pool Operators Level 1 & 2 Certification
- Competent knowledge of trades including plumbing, HVAC, pool maintenance, carpentry, electrical, and painting.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or management role

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
