**Skills/Abilities/Qualifications**

**Required**
- Diploma in Health Administration or Office Administration
- Three to five years’ experience with increasing responsibilities in healthcare administration, human resources or a related field
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under time constraints while balancing competing priorities
- Proven skills to successfully communicate and establish effective working relationships with all levels of staff and various clients and stakeholders
- Proven critical thinking skills and ability to problem solve independently
- Demonstrated skill in managing staff schedules or similar
- Highly organized with particular attention to detail
- Experience drafting internal and external communications, memos, and presentations
- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of people with varied cultural and ethnic background
- Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality, act with discretion
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, within the context of normal part-time hours
- Superior skills in minute taking and written and verbal communication
- Valid (class G) driver’s license, ability to travel, reliable and insurable vehicle
- Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
- Knowledge of and adherence to Brightshores ‘CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence)
- Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at Brightshores through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes

- Work experience in a Health Care environment with Physician interaction
